When it opened in 1918, the Waldo Street police station was home to both the Worcester Police Headquarters and the Worcester District Court. Today the property consisting of 2 connected buildings, spans the city block between Waldo Street and Commercial Street to make up the location known as One Exchange Place.
Although both the Police Headquarters and the District court have moved on to different locations, traces of the building’s history can still be seen, as current and past owners have paid close attention in preserving the historical significance of the site.
The combined 60,000 SF of mixed-use office and retail is home to several law offices, Michael’s Cigar Bar, and The Niche Hospitality Group, which includes The People’s Kitchen, The Citizen Wine Bar, and the Still & Stir Cocktail Bar.
One Exchange Place is strategically located within an opportunity zone.
